Diet Dilemma

MC Achy starts a diet but quickly reconciles with his true love: pizza.

Why My Diet Dilemma Involves Pizza

You know, people always say you should eat clean, but you ever notice that the clean food aisles are like a ghost town? It’s because everyone knows that the real party is happening over in the pizza aisle. I get caught there like a dentist at a candy convention, wondering if I should pick a slice or get a whole pie so I have leftovers. Spoiler alert: there are never leftovers.

Where Did All My Willpower Go?

Honestly, I did try to join a diet once. It lasted all of five minutes before my stomach staged a coup, chanting, “Feed me, Seymour!” My willpower is like a fruit fly at a fruit stand—tiny, easily distracted, and gone before you know it. Whenever I walk past a pizzeria, my willpower performs the ultimate disappearing act, poof, like a magician’s rabbit.

There’s something about that gooey cheese and crispy crust that calls out to me like a long-lost friend. When people tell you to find balance in your life, they clearly weren’t talking about trying to balance pizza boxes while unlocking your front door. I’ve got one foot in the gym and the other in a pizza box. Spoiler: the pizza box smells much better.

Pizza: The Real Love Story

You ever notice how pizza commercials look like rom-coms? The slow-motion cheese pull is more dramatic than any Oscar-winning film. The glistening pepperoni is like jewelry for your taste buds. When you reach for that slice, you know your diet is about to ghost you faster than my high school prom date.

It’s the Romeo and Juliet of food drama, except instead of tragic endings, pizza just gets reheated. No one mourns a reheated pizza; it’s a resurrection, a chance at love once more. Let’s be honest, the only triangle I trust is a pizza slice. You can’t put your faith in love triangles or Bermuda triangles, but pizza never lies.

And really, what’s a diet anyway? Isn’t it just a to-do list in a language you don’t understand? Every time I attempt one, it’s like my brain’s in incognito mode at the gym while my heart is being serenaded at a pizza joint. I tried tracking my calories once, but it’s hard to keep track when you’re eating like a contestant in a pizza-eating competition with yourself.

Here I am, unapologetic, a slice in each hand and a workout app buried somewhere under all those pizza place coupons. But hey, isn’t that a balanced diet? One slice per hand equals balance, right? Take that, nutritionists!

They say love is blind, but clearly, it’s also crusty, cheesy, and delivered in under 30 minutes. And like every great love story, it’s filled with passion, occasional regret, and a hefty side of garlic bread. My Tinder profile says I’m looking for a relationship with substance, but who am I kidding—it’s really just pizza substance.

So, the next time pizza calls, don’t ignore it. Just remember: the diet dilemma is real, and life’s too short to skip the pizza party. So, pull up a chair, grab a slice, and remember that in the game of life, pizza is always winning. It’s like Monopoly, and pizza is the hotel on Boardwalk.

Besides, if we weren’t meant to eat midnight pizzas, why did someone invent the fridge light? Every great detective needs a sidekick, and every diet dilemma needs a pizza intervention. So here’s to calories, love handles, and the only certainty in life besides death and taxes—pizza.

About Brad (Founder, Chaos Coordinator, CEO-ish) Hi, I’m Brad—the guy behind Choice1-3D who thought, “What if cartoons, music, and life lessons all argued in the same room?” I create Pixar-style 3D animation, comedy shorts, and original music that poke fun at real life, make you laugh, and occasionally sneak in something meaningful before the raccoons knock it over. While Henry edits everything to perfection, Gina ignores the budget, and the raccoons eat literally everything, I keep the lights on, the ideas flowing, and the stories coming. My desk is mostly notes, coffee, and bills—but somehow it all turns into fun. Choice1-3D exists because life is loud, weird, and funny… and sometimes the best way to understand it is through a cartoon raccoon and a good laugh. Welcome to the madness. 😄
