West Coast Booties: Grandpa Studies the Smoothie-Powered Side of America

West Coast Booties are not ordinary booties. These are sun-kissed, yoga-certified, smoothie-powered works of coastal confidence. Out here, everything has a lifestyle attached to it. Coffee is cold brew. Water is alkaline. A walk on the beach is not a walk; it is a mindful movement session. And a pair of leggings is not clothing; it is structural engineering with stretch.

Grandpa arrives on the West Coast thinking he is about to conduct a simple field report. Then he sees palm trees, sunshine, beach sidewalks, yoga mats, smoothie cups, and people walking around like their entire body has been sponsored by a wellness brand. Suddenly, his research notebook starts shaking. Not from fear. From confusion, admiration, and possibly too much coconut water.

This comedy short is part of Choice1-3D’s ridiculous Booty Study of America, where Grandpa travels the country observing regional confidence with absolutely no scientific license and a suspicious amount of enthusiasm. The West Coast episode leans into beach culture, gym culture, smoothie culture, yoga culture, and that strange coastal ability to turn basic errands into a personal brand photo shoot.

Grandpa’s official conclusion: West Coast Booties do not just walk. They arrive hydrated, stretched, toned, and emotionally centered.

The joke is playful, not mean. It is a big animated wink at the West Coast lifestyle: sunshine, fitness, clean eating, good vibes, and people who can somehow look relaxed while clearly doing squats three times a week. Grandpa does not fully understand it, but he respects the commitment. Around here, even the smoothies look like they have a personal trainer.

Why West Coast Booties Are Yoga-Certified and Free-Range

The phrase “yoga-certified, organic, and free-range” sums up the whole West Coast vibe. Everything feels a little healthier, a little shinier, and a little more expensive than expected. Grandpa sees one person holding a green smoothie and immediately assumes it contains kale, sea breeze, powdered optimism, and a monthly subscription.

Then come the leggings. Grandpa believes West Coast leggings may be one of the greatest inventions of modern civilization. They are athletic, confident, colorful, and apparently capable of surviving yoga, hiking, brunch, beach walks, grocery runs, and mirror selfies without losing structural integrity. In Grandpa’s words, “That ain’t fabric. That’s a lifestyle decision.”

The West Coast Booties short works because it exaggerates a real cultural flavor. Every region has its own comedy personality. The East Coast has speed, attitude, and coffee. The South has sweet tea, sundresses, and dangerous charm. The North has winter layers and springtime surprises. Hawaii has sunshine, island sway, and Grandpa losing focus near a palm tree. But the West Coast? The West Coast has confidence with a reusable straw.

That is why this episode fits perfectly inside the full series. It gives viewers a fast, funny, colorful animated moment that is easy to watch, easy to share, and full of the kind of exaggerated regional humor Choice1-3D does best.

Grandpa’s Field Notes

Grandpa’s field notes for West Coast Booties are already legendary. The first entry says, “Subject walked past holding a smoothie. Smoothie was green. I fear it may contain grass clippings, confidence, and financial regret.” That is the kind of detail only Grandpa can bring to a scientific investigation nobody asked for.

His second note reads, “Every person out here owns a yoga mat, but nobody looks tired. This concerns me.” Grandpa is used to people sweating, complaining, and looking like exercise has consequences. On the West Coast, folks finish a workout and somehow look ready for a magazine cover, a beach walk, and a podcast about inner peace.

His final note may be the most important: “These booties are powered by sunshine, squats, sea air, and something called mindful glute activation.” Grandpa does not know what mindful glute activation is, but he knows it sounds expensive.

West Coast Booties Script / Transcript

Grandpa: “Now West Coast booties… these are the gluteus maximus masters.”

“Every one of them comes with a gym membership, a yoga mat, a plant-based smoothie, and a playlist named Booty Day.”

“These booties are toned, firm, shapely, and well-proportioned.”

“That fancy word is callipygian, which I believe means booty blessed.”

“They do not jiggle. They wave politely.”

“They glisten in the California sun like somebody rubbed them down with coconut oil and confidence.”

“West Coast booties are yoga-certified, organic, and free-range.”

“And if you stare too long, they charge you a monthly subscription.”

Choice1-3d

About Brad (Founder, Chaos Coordinator, CEO-ish) Hi, I’m Brad—the guy behind Choice1-3D who thought, “What if cartoons, music, and life lessons all argued in the same room?” I create Pixar-style 3D animation, comedy shorts, and original music that poke fun at real life, make you laugh, and occasionally sneak in something meaningful before the raccoons knock it over. While Henry edits everything to perfection, Gina ignores the budget, and the raccoons eat literally everything, I keep the lights on, the ideas flowing, and the stories coming. My desk is mostly notes, coffee, and bills—but somehow it all turns into fun. Choice1-3D exists because life is loud, weird, and funny… and sometimes the best way to understand it is through a cartoon raccoon and a good laugh. Welcome to the madness. 😄
